understand why the release of the slim would mean Wii sales dramatically drop. All the Slim can do is sell more than other products and its not like it hasn't at this online retailer.

has zero chance of being the best selling game of all-time. Some of the best selling games of all-time almost equal the entire 360/PS3 base.
price is cut sales go up. Did everybody magically forget the last time the PS3 cut its price? This isn't surprising. In fact, at $299 its going to have a bigger impact obviously than the last one.

a price drop will increase sales in every territory just like it did the last time they cut the price. C'mon let's not get silly here.
the models are really nice. Excluding in-game cutscenes from U2/RE5/etc, probably the best models I've ever seen.

from Neogaf said the slim was coming in September so I'm going to go with that until Sept comes and goes.

all. The install base of the PS3 wouldn't increase in any meaningful way as a result of adding features that currently makes PSN an inferior online service to Live. And it will never be exactly like live because the features aren't implemented across the board in an universal manner. PSN already has 90% of the features but its up to developers to implement.
To try and imply it would do anything more than make small incremental strides with the hardcore is ridiculous.
give 360 owners or someone who's played a 360 online a reason to perhaps purchase a PS3. PS2 owners, Wii owners, and others who haven't been tapped wouldn't buy a PS3 because they included features Live has.
me wonder why games either use too much color or lack color in comparison to real life.
people hype as selling a lot don't even break the 10 mil mark like GTA, Gran Turismo, Nintendo titles, Sims, etc. Every game can't achieve those numbers on a single platform and that's why there are only a handful.

going to review just a tad bit lower than MGS4 but more than Killzone which is the most recent AAA.
The production values of this one are going to push it over the top.
